Default Intro (not enough projects in quesnel)

Well since my account got lost in the forum shuffle thought i'd make a proper introduction. I have been born and raised in quesnel and been riding motorcycles around here for all that time. Had to buy a daily driver so i ended up with a stock low km (260 000) 1994 toyota 4 runner sr5. leather, power moon roof the whole shebang.

After 2 months of saying it was going to stay stock i ended up with 1 1/2" balljoint spacers and toyota land cruiser coils in the rear complimented by some rancho f150 shocks and some suzuki samurai shocks up front. works pretty well with 33 x 12.5 and only rubs on my bent bumper.
Just last week i did the trailgear rear disc conversion and installed a lockrite out back while i was working on the backend.

Hopefully meet afew of you this summer and get some decent wheeling time in.

But I have to get out and do the daily running around dutys with the fam but i will post up some pictures later on.

so without further adieu my rust runner



the running boards are off now, altho i do miss having a great place to wipe the mud off of my shoes.

chopping up of my brakes, you can see they were slightly rusty


voila! rear discs!

might as well post my summer daily drivers also i guess since i am talking about how i have too many projects lol

bought it afew years back in pg for 100$ it was on craigslist "won't start" So i met the owners. old lady passed away and her son drove it for abit till it spun a rod bearing. Lack of oil changes and lack of every kind of maintence? big surprise there. So after buying an 85 supra for parts i aquired a dohc 2.8 to bump up the horse power from the old sohc boat anchor. Long story short reused the crank out of the old motor to fix the "good" supra motor and here we are today.



I affectionately refer to it as the cressipra or my old ladys car.

Then last year i bought another odd one. A 1971 datsun 521 pickup. never owning a datsun and doing no reseach on them i paid waaay too much and am still happy with the purchase.

then after a good wash and removing the dead birds from the box. ick



My father had the exact same truck in the late 70's early 80's till he passed when i was about 4 years old. After sitting in our back yard for afew years my uncle took it back to kelowna and i have no idea where his actual truck is. According to my mother this is less rusty than his was back in 85. Hopefully i will get to drive it abit this year. Possibly on my wedding day but who knows. It's kind of a basket case. Need to track down some front discs for it and maybe it will feel less sketchy. lol

Looks good George. We definetly need to get out this Summer for some wheeling. I know there was a guy who signed up (before the chaos on the site) who was from PG with a JK like mine who wanted to do some wheeling around here as well. PG-JKU I think? Also RFT wants too.

So we should be able to get a few going. I was talking to Wayne Wright a while back and they want to get the old Syndicate crew together again. I am gonna touch base with him one of these days to see where that is at too.

Yeah I'm definitely in for a run.

I'm pretty sure I've seen your 4Runner around, but never noticed the Cressida. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Curious, why did you mount the caliper in that position. Going to be a major PITA to bleed like that. Isn't that the TG kit? Also what did you end up doing for an e-brake. Line lock?

Nice looking runner, friend of mine has a 90 cressida that he swapped in a 1jz motor out of a newer Mark II sedan. Lots of fun that car is.

How do you like the disc breaks? The only thing holding me up from that is the e-brake. My backing plates are starting to get holy.

Yeah its the trail gear kit. With the runner it had rear abs. so in the correct 2 o' clock position it wouldnt fit so i ended up runnign the left caliper on the right and right on the left so the bleeder was still at the top. Prolly why the pads sit oddly. One day when i am bored i will probably clearance the bracket so it can go behind the axle. I was just sick of it hogging up valuable shop space. For the E brake i will end up getting the trail gear trans case brake but once the significant other isnt looking at my visa bills so closely

I know Wayne has some cool rigs. Quite a bronco collection but i think since he bought his side by side they have just been sitting, not sure? Talk about a man with alot of projects. I think he has 3 different shops to park all his stuff. I was going to buy some wheels from him and we went into what can only be described as his own personal used tire shop.

On a side note the old runner got to pull a kia out of a icy driveway and did so like a champ. Makes ya feel good thats for sure.

Do they make one for the V6 TC? That's always been my hold up and I would love to have a TC e brake, no more cables to the rear axle getting hung up.
