If you have not painted your bumper yet. I highly recomend this stuff

Canadian tire rocker gaurd. I used it on my front bumper. It has put up with the Alberta gravel pelting it for 2 years and still no rust, way stronger then powder coat. Easy to touch up if you do scratch it. Stays flexable so it will not peel. This **** is bullet proof. 2 thick coats and your good to go!

Thanks Dave, but I don't want to paint it black, gonna keep it grey like the original bumper.

It just occured to me that I'm loosing my front lic plate mount, going to need to find a spot for it, any ideas?

Pics to help:

You can get a plate holder the snaps on to the roller fairlead.

low tech or high tech solution? the fairlead plate works will, i had a tab welded abover the fairlead that bolts the licence plate permanantly. or you could just zapstrap it to your grill lol.

Well The bumper is mounted, I'm liking the look. The paint is a bit darker than factory, but I'm good with the way it is. Ran into a few problems but nothing to do with the bumper it self. While unbolting the steering box one of the mounting bolts damaged some of the threads on the box. So I'm putting a new box in it as it's not repairable. That plus the box is getting a bit sloppy anyways.

I'll be posting a full write up with pics when I get a chance, so stayed tuned.

I'm thinking the fairlead mount is the only way I'm getting a plate on this thing, I'll have to figure a bracket out to do that. Thanks for the ideas guys!

I'm in no rush to get it mounted as that can be athe last step, I still need to paint the fairlead mount, figure out how and where I'm going to put the solenoids and get the rope.
