the Remington is now sold. Jeremy if you're interested, I have a kitchen blade ready that's just been waiting for a handle. Let me get moved in and see what I have for handle materials. The blade is stainless, and came profiled and heat treated. I just sharpen it and do a custom handle. I can't heat treat stainless myself, or keep a carbon steel blade that long & thin from warping. I did one for my mom last year and it's holding up well...

Hey Mike, what do you have in the way of a drop point about 3 inches long with a durable and grippy handle. Looking for a new field dressing knife and that is my preference.

I have a few blades that are profiled and heat treated already, I can dig them out and see if anything strikes your fancy. I don't have any completed knives right at the moment. I'm still setting up my shop (just moved in) so things are a bit slow right now.
I have a couple of stainless blades, but they are 4" general hunting style, not skinners or capers. I don't really do much stainless, as I have to send it out for heat treat, whereas non-stainless (O1, 1095, etc) I can do myself.

Sounds good, I'm certainly interested as I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for at a reasonable price. I'll give you some time and get in touch with you later on in the summer to come have a look.

Hey Mike. Sorry I couldn't make it out this week for beers but I ended up slipping up to Tulameen for Jordy's wedding. I'll give you a shout when I'm back in the Valley. LR
