found some cool pictures of an abandoned mining town up north. Was trying to find what access is like also. from what i can tell on google earth and such there are some cut blocks which would mean logging roads but those look to be 20-30kms away. in the pictures a guy has an atv there though??

now interestingly enough, my wife spent 3 months there as a girl because her dad was a helicopter pilot and was flying out scrap metal or something. they saw the locomotive there and the abandoned buildings and whatnot. Unfortunatly what she remembers most was being chased through a building by a scary badger. haha. she was 5 years old.

edit: apparently some company is going to try to reopen the dam there and is building a road in on an old railway? ill have to research further...

they probably braught the ATV in by boat. that area is pretty far away from anything and i dont think there are any roads in the area that are still accessable.
