BC Ferries ride over to Van Isle isn't a good representation as to what our Oceans look like! The Fraser can make anything look extremely polluted. LR

    Blow Boats.

Get a nice runabout for $4k.
At least with a small power boat you don't run into towing/storage issues.
You'll be bound to one or two lakes with a sail.
And that's mah opinion, But hey, you want a blow boat... go right ahead.

And for the record... Blow boats need a lot of maintenance.

I have passed on the deal.It was more to help him out and make some coin,i never really figured i would keep it pobly just try it out once.
Our oceans are fine just dark,Not like the tropics. But i am afraid of the vast openness.Same reason i will never go in to space,i just have a fear of nothing, potentialy floating around forever.

I would love to be set free in space, I'd even moon the shuttle on the way out. It'd be an awesome feeling of nothing. Nirvana.

Ok,bringing this back to the table.Anyone have any idea how easy these things are to sell? I could pick it up monday but will i be sitting on it for 2 years?

Its got 3 sails, all the cushions, a 2005 4hp outboard merc with like 20 hours on it, and its a macgreggor , one of the better brand name boats out there, oh and the hull is unsinkable, a wind up hand crankn keel

    Awesome. Never heard that before!!

If they were easy to sell, your buddy wouldn't be selling it to you for cheap right? I'd say rent a blow boat a few times before buying one. Chances are you'd be stuck with it for a while, which would suck if you don't enjoy sailing.

    Just my 2 cents...

yeah, the boat market has always been finaky, i would say that boat is probably only worth about 4k... if your planning on just flipping it your best bet would probably be try to help him find a buyer, otherwise your just taking his debt load.
