Here are some additional pictures of my trailer to show some details as to how it opens up.

The barrel hinges can slide out so the top is removable if need be.

On the side where it opens, a pair of latches keeps the top tight. I can put locks through the latches for security.

The top and the tailgate open independently.

I have a pair of struts to keep the top open but with the weight of the roof top tent mounted to the lid, I need a stick to hold it open.

    Default A Brute trailer?

The Brute package from AEV would probably look fine behind a Jeep, just take the back off of this Jeep and you can picture it in your head.

Although all things considered is would probably be a tad on the expensive side, I think. Only the brute bed is somewhere around 6 grand, if to that you add the frame and an axle...

Oh well, it would still look good :-)

Has anyone seen anything done with the larger 5/4 military trailers? Looking at that for a project to put behind the Dodge.

I've heard the 5/4 trailers are fairly heavy, but they do sit nice and high without having to mod anything.
