Time for a winter road trip! At least the mud will be frozen by then.

It will be great if they extend the James Bay Road further north one day too. It would be to be able to drive to the top of Nunavik..

Yup, read tuk is expecting quite a few new visitors next summer ... which is why we'll wait 'til 2019. Would like to be there over the Sept long.

Yeah, a little less magical if it's crowded I would think. Hell of a drive!

    WooHoo!

I assume that it will replace Deadhorse as the start point of all those Pan Am'ers but you never know.? Cant drive right to the Arctic ocean at Deadhorse so its only logical that if you want to go from the Arctic Ocean to as far as you can in South America you start in Tuk, with a wheel in the water!?

Maybe going early might be quieter, before the world hears and starts planning to go there. Maybe August/September 2018? 4000 km's.......8000km's round trip just going there with no side trips.

I'll plan for summer 2019. It takes a lot of $ for a full trip from Toronto.
