Right on, yeah that's a nice area. We'll be up that way for July long. Sorry I caught your wave last minute on Saturday .

Fantastic setup. Can you share what the CBI rear bumper ran you, as you received it (ie. before powdercoat)? Looks like you bought through Peden 4WD? I'm looking for essentially the same bumper setup.

// edit - heard back from Peden, was quoted roughly $3730+tax.

Sorry I never got around to responding earlier. I can tell you that with the exchange rate, taxes and shipping, it doesn't come cheap, but I found whether ordering direct or through Peden, it was going to cost the same, but Peden arranged ordering, shipping and all that fun stuff. I had a shop in Abbotsford do the powder coating, and all I can recommend is to ensure no areas where it's meant to have another piece go into or against gets any trace of powder coat on it.

I always use sacrificial hardware when getting things powdercoated. Anything with a thread gets a bolt screwed in, and after powdercoating that bolt is removed and discarded, leaving the threads perfectly fine. Otherwise yeah, you're in for a lot of fun with a tap & die kit.

I was recently at the NW and BC Overland rally. I'll paste some images below from them.

We've got a couple trips planned, both relatively minor. We're looking at doing a loop up through the Sunshine Coast for a couple nights, ferrying over to the island for another few nights, making our way back down island to Victoria where we'll ferry over to Port Angeles in Wa. and make our way around and back up to Vancouver. The other trip will be just to do some camping and exploring near our cabin in the South Chilcotin.

I recently ordered some aluminum sliders for steps/rock spray protection which should be done around mid-August and recently got a Impact Dog Crate for our dog. With now having the two biggest items (fridge and crate), I think I'll be able to start planning the storage and living space within the habitat.

Man seeing the wrap on your Habitat in person looks great. First look from far, I thought it was dirty. Closer up I could really see it, nice work. Sorry should have said hi.

Aw, that's too bad we didn't get a chance to meet, it would've been great to chat and check out your ride too. I think we'll be going to the 4WDABC show and shine next weekend if you happen to be around.
