That seems to be great idea. I'm planning my september/october vacation and this could be fun to do. But it's still too early for me to commit. I'll keep an eye on the post.

Hope you can make it. Was out today driving part of the route, some nice easy trails. Thursday night a friend and I are will be pre driving a different section of the trails. I'll try to take some photos.

I'm in and will distribute this post to some other groups.

Is there a web page for it?

    I do have a question!

when you say not everyone will finish, what do you expect could happen? You are mentionning that it is more dirt road and light off road oriented, and that rig needs not to be to lifted?

is this regarding to the trails difficulty, the time allowed???

Just due to length, not difficulty. In previous years, granted I'm talking motorbikes, someone will get a flat, or a mechanical issue, or get lost, etc which eats up time. The route is designed so everyone can easily finish it if they don't have any issues and are willing to put in a long day.

That being said, finishing the route is optional. It's simply a suggested route with predetermined camp sites.

Difficult terrain? Nope, stock friendly so long as it's dry.

Heading out after work with Adamsherman and Smoke to run the first gps track of the route. Its a collection of easy trails and gravel roads that start at the 416/401 highways and ends in the town of Merrickville. This should give a good idea on how long to make the route based on our travel time as a group. Hopefully the guys will chime in after we are done with their thoughts and perspectives.
