Default Kimberley KR Enduro - June 13/2015 - need camping info

I'm hoping to camp close to Kimberley but want to stay away from Riverside Campground for some reason. I'm tenting it out of my truck and racing the MTB Enduro there. Any advice on other pay sites or free sites would be greatly appreciated. Would even stay down the road in Cranbrook if I had too.

St Mary's lake has a forestry site. There are also tons of spots along River Road FSR where you could easily pull off and stay overnight.

I'm thinking this road is along the south side of the river?

If so and you miss that turn then there are some spots (side roads) further east along the paved road, past the lake, actually after it turns to gravel. And there's a big camping area at the bridge (turn for the road to the pass) - might not be alone tho ...

Yes, river road is the one that goes across the big bridge at StMarys lake (S St.Marys Creek on google), then continues south to Wycliff. it follows that part of the river but there are numerous roads branching off that are 'campable'. There is a gravel pit 2km past the bridge on River Road that would make an easy overnight spot; 49.609570, -116.147057

Great I'll check it out. Thanks for the coordinates. Last time I was down that way - not sure if it was last year or two years before - the bridge was closed. IS this still the case?

    I don't think so - it's a major log hauling route..
