Please join the Four Wheel Drive Association of BC for it's 13th Annual West Stave Lake Cleanup and Access Rally.

This year is another very important year to show your support and desire for continued access to the West Stave Lake area as BIG CHANGES ARE COMING! The District of Mission has just released their Stave West Master Plan (draft plan here: : This plan accomodates continued motorized recreation but the future of the mud flats area is not decided at this thime. However, this area is heavily used by 4x4 recreation and there is a lot of pressure to change this to non-motorized.

The Four Wheel Drive Association of BC has been advocating for continued 4x4 access to the flats for many years and will continue to do so. Please join us in this advocacy effort.

Come out, bring your 4x4 and help us show Mission how popular 4x4ing is to the community of Mission and surrounding communities.

Join us for Tim's coffee at 9 am. The cleanup itself starts at 10 am and runs to 4 pm. Over the last 5 years, our volunteers with the assistance of dump trucks and one backhoe, we have removed over 130 tons, that is over 260,000 pounds, of garbage from West Stave!

Thus far, we have commitments from C&C trucking, Davies Sand and Gravel and the District of Mission to supply drivers and dump trucks to transport the garbage to the Mission dump. Mission has once again waived the tippage fees for our event.

Lunch will be provided and Tim Horton's coffee will be available.

I hope to see you there.

STAGING AREA. We will be meeting at the upper parking lot for the boat launch which is 1 kilometre north of Dewdney Trunk Road and Burma Road.
