I agree! Nice report, are there any spots that you can camp close to the KVR and ride from in that area?

We camped in the Kelowna bolder fields area but I'm sure there are many other little spots along the way.

There are a few of us lurking for sure.
I had planned on catching a bunch of yours (particularly the falls) when I was down for Tulameen days, but unfortunately the motor in my truck
decided to quit producing oil pressure about 10k out of town.
Hoping to hit em in September now. If you have any suggestions for spots I could take the young uns (5&8) to see some ore carts, that'dbe great.

So sorry sixty8chev, I have no idea how I missed this reply.

Well I guess Sept. has come and one but the caches will all remain. What's your caching name: are you on the Kamloops Geocaching Facebook group?

It's tough to find any remaining ore cars, people have cut trails into the secluded area of Blakeburn and hauled them out by quad and trailer I'm thinking. Achor Hill multi is a must see, not too bad of a walk for a 5 year old.

Lover's Leap is also a very cool thin gauge railway cantilevered off the side of a cliff, I've been to the river below searching for artifacts.

Easiest way to it is from Fred Fielding's home:

Blakeburn area could keep you busy for a full weekend for sure.

    So any luck with that?

You should team up with Adelyse and Swingarm, I think they are in Kelowna and took their Toyota to my Upper Powder Tusk 5/5 cache this summer.

    Default First Major Geocache Trip

The girlfriend and I recently started to geocache around where we live using our phones, its fun and gets one out exploring and finding new places to go! This year during our annual Whipsaw trip we decided to load some coordinates and use a real GPS to do some caching! It brought us to some new spots but also had a further investigating places we have previously stopped to checkout !

Some were near the trail while others were a little off and some further into the bush!

some of our friends adventured away from camp with us too!

    Another spot along the trail

    Little adventuring around!

There were lots along the trail, we found a bunch of them but not all so we have others to find in the years to come!

    Awesome pics Brad!

Glad to see you guys had so much fun with the caches along the Whipsaw trail. We'll need to start planning some wheeling caching camping trips soon!

Who else wants to join us?

Hey sorry Jordy just saw this, this one was not in a can. sort of undercover (not enough to give it away) and we placed it back where we found it
