    Default baja road trip

We have been on the road since December 19th on our slow way to Baja and the Mexican mainland.
We are now in Palm Springs visiting more friends and will soon hop over to San Diego to cross into Mexico. Here are a few pics from the road down.

Yeah it might look warm but nights are still real cold, most of the way down was spent camping around 4,500 foot elevations.

Things changed when we got to Palm Springs, now it was hot in the day, stayed in Palm Springs longer than we thought camped in my buddies driveway, bike rides to pubs and restaurants and had way too good of a time.

Did a little touristy stuff too....... Elvis' place......

And today we finally dragged ourselves away from PS and stationed ourselves in San Diego for a couple of nights.

I will call it camping only because its called "Campland by the Sea" but it really isn't, and its not for the faint of heart pricewise.....$59 per night no hook ups!! As you can see its only a parking lot, Only here for some re supply and beach bike rides then into Baja, maybe two nights, we have wifi and a beach 50 feet away and now that its cooling down we are headed for the hot tub! Camping???

Sounds like you are travelling down the Baja, taking the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlán, then driving back on the mainland. Sound like a great trip - subscribed!

    Fun fun fun!!

Good time of year to vacate the great "white" north. Not that it is all that white here per-say, but it is great and north!

    Safe travels.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, we are now in Mexico and are slowly making our way south, crappy internet so no new pics, the border crossing at Tijuana was fast and easy and after you get spit out onto the toll road south, took us about ten minutes in all and that included getting our visa's.

Met up with some other overlanders and will hang out with them tonight and hopefully have internet and post up a few pics. We are not roughing it yet as the place we stayed at has a nice pool area with hot tub...........tough going! We have to pamper ourselves early because it will only get rougher as we go south.

    Adios
