    Awesome truck!

Should be a Photobucket app that will allow you to upload directly

Next to my buddy's 510 Goon a few blocks from where we got it on the way home, original & repainted colour on both of these is amazingly close

Pics I don't have, the SOFT hinge mounts on the tailgate, rust at the body seam near the top of the gate, oh yeah and -the original spare tire still with sticker on it

Drivers side of the front bench is tired and one of the seatbelts looks like a dog chewed it up, rest of the interior is decent -'specially for a truck this age, the rear cargo mat looks mint.

crap I posted a whack of stuff to Matt's thread - DOH
Ok apparently you can text photos off the iphone directly to PB, not so bad.

    headliner is certainly serviceable still

Dash is all here and not hacked or missing anything

Frame is solid, much better than some newer trucks I've seen

    body mounts & floor

    now for the rust...

Yeah those old 55's did not have frame rot issues its just the body that disintegrates.

Love that interior, its amazing it lasted that long and unhacked.

Good looking 55! Great to see such an intact and original interior ...right down to the glove box door handle which is rarely present. Of the 10 body mounts
on a 55, the only 2 that are not prone to rusting out sit behind the rear wheels.
Good news is, there is a fellow on IH8mud who makes patch panels for 55's .
Look forward to watching your progress. After owning 5 pigs, I got tired of rust

    Hey Bentwagon - Welcome to

Love the green & white, that's what dad had. Feel free to share some pics of your fleet of pigs - and any advice you have.

Have not spent much time over on MUD yet, that's more a winter research project I think.

Looks like there is at least one soft spot at the front passenger corner of the seat mount - haven't poked it to much yet under there.

My dad dropped in and was a surprise for him to see mine, he was telling me ours had a non-syncro first three speed so not sure what year it was exactly, he thought it was a '73 or 4.

Also mentioned he still has the tool bag and factory bottle jack what are the odds of that - he sold that truck in the early 80's
