Hey everyone,

Just thought I would say a quick hello, been checking out the site, and doing a lot of reading. There are some great builds here and hopefully I can share in what I have learned and pick up a lot too!

I picked up a new 2009 SR5 Access Cab Tacoma in Oct 2008 and to date I have put 86,000 kms on it. Been out on the trails around Calgary a bit, and hopefully getting more into the back country/camping stuff soon.

so far I haven't done too much to the truck:
All-Pro IFS Skid
All-Pro diff cover
Shockwork sliders
Aries Bush Bar
Some TRD Parts (fog lights, nav console, trailer receiver, waiting on wiring harness for inverter for the rear)
MB Motorsport rims with BFG All-Terrains 265/70/17s

I'm currently waiting on parts to do my suspension lift, I went with the OME 885 coils, the Nitro Chargers front and rear, and the Dakar leaf packs in the rear.

Also down the road I want to do the ARB air lockers and All-Pro bumper, Satoshi Grill, and HID lighting

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks,
Shayne

Welcome!

I always love the Tacoma's!! I think that will be my new new vehicle when I get to the point of needing a new one

Thanks guys,

Yeah I went with the Tacoma cause I love the truck, needed a daily driver that could haul ski gear (I'm a ski coach in the winter time), was good on gas, 4x4 and looked good doing it :D

My first love though is a 1984 GMC K10 which I rebuild the engine in it, did some fun work to it, but then ran out of time and money. During the rebuild I had it bored to 355, did oversized pistons, Comp Cam, Crane rollers, Heads by Davenport, 8.5mm MSD wiring, Edelbrock performer intake manifold and 600 CMF Carb, all on the R4 Transmission linked to a B&M floor shifter, but ran into a snag of finding parts and finding the time to complete it. She needs a passenger side front hub, front drive shaft, new tires, and a whole lot of love. Maybe one day she will live again
