I'm happily married.... love it... love her... wouldn't change a thing... and happy to say it!
Not too many guys can say that... because there is this unwritten guy rule to bash your spouse (not referring to anyone on OLC... just saying).
My wife keeps me grounded.... otherwise I'd be completely broke (not just partially broke... hee hee).

Huh, maybe thats my problem! I need to marry a woman who knows how to save (or is rich!). Maybe then I'd have some money haha. All mine gets blown on trips before it gets the chance to be saved. I used to be awesome at saving, then I realized that there's no point living life if I can't enjoy it to the max.
Been engaged once, that was close enough for me. 20, young, stupid, and I thought I had a kid on the way. Glad it wasn't so (long story, but boy did I pick a freak of nature on that one.. wow). If it works then thats cool, but I like the freedom of being able to do what I want when I want. I've just seen so many go bad, I don't care to waste those valuable years of my life. Work's bad enough for getting in the way of my hobbies and dreams, a GF/wife who hates the outdoors would be ever worse. Looking at it from an outside view, I think the coolest part about being a dad is having your kids come up and give you a huge huge and tell you how much they love you, I've never experienced that but I think that'd be the high of being a parent. I think staying single causes a person to remain emotionally detached from people, I've been accused of that many, many times. Its only been about 5 or 6 years since I've even been out on a date  I just don't care enough to even bother trying.
Thats awesome that it went so well Cody! Does this mean no more camping or hanging out drinking at our place, or will she let you out occasionally? :D I still owe you a 15 case of Bud dude, ya gotta come on over for a BBQ and get it!! LR

Oh it's a HUGE high when your kids bowl you over when you get home from work... or when they say Dada for the first time etc. Or when come down the stairs and the 2 older boys have all their cars laid out on the livingroom floor and are making power tool sounds fixing them all up.... and have them jacked up on blocks etc copying what I do in the garage. The list goes on.... but I'll stop there.
I love my life.... I just want a little more financial freedom. But that's what you get for buying an expensive house on single income. (wife is a stay @ home Mommy).

My GF and hopefully future Wife (no time soon) is more of a camper than I am and I love camping. She has camped all over the world from the jungles in Taiwan to -40c in Manitoba winter in a quizie. If anything she challenges me to explore and push further out of my comfort zone than any one else. I love it, I do not need to try and get time to go wheeling or camping she is the one asking when we can go again.
Next year is a 2 week trip to Moab partly influenced by her desire to camp in the desert.
She has been the one pushing me out the door every night and weekend to go work on the truck too, she knows it needs to be done to do the trips we want to do.
I think I would go nuts with a girl that did not like camping and exploring Canada and the world.

Moab is AWESOME! Went there two years ago. Been wanting to go back ever since. We went in Oct. The weather was great, 20deg day 2-4deg at night. The camping is spectacular. You can camp in the BLM spots or just drive off in the back country. If you want some info/pictures, lemme know!

Yeah I'll hit you up when I get into the planing stages of the trip for sure! Looks like Robin can only get two weeks off back to back in March (teacher and spring break) so it maybe a interesting trip that time of year.
