Anyone want to join Nathan and I... heading to Pick-A-Part sunday Feb 15th.... leaving my place at about 1pm.

May have to take a 2nd vehicle... I have 2 passengers... and you never know if I'll be picking up a 8.8 axle if they have one with discs sitting there...

;)

Haven't we been down this path already? Who's buying this 8.8 off Kelly?

I bought an 8.8 a while back... but wasn't anywhere near installing it... and Steve wanted to buy one... so I sold mine to him.

I likely won't be getting one... I'm focusing on getting t-case parts to finish up my swap.

Jeeesh... leave me and my changing mind alone!!

The inventory list only shows one V8 ZJ, are you sure the 6's didn't have long input's? Are you going to disassemble anything you find at the yard?

Long input shafts are found on all 249's which only come on V8's. All the research I've done indicates they are the only ones to get long shafts from.

As for the 8.8 from the 96.... if it's there... maybe Nathan and I will be really busy!!

They had a 96 Explorer with an 8.8 with discs... but the rear axle was already gone.

They had a 95 Grand Cherokee... with the correct t-case I needed for the input shaft I need for my swap... only thing is that 1995 is the transition year, so it could have early or late style gear... and I need the early. So Nathan and I pulled the t-case and took it apart... wrong one for me. Total waste of time... and a bit frustrated, but at least I tried.
