View Full Version : Leveling the Heep!

Well I finally got to leveling the Jeep today! I bought some 3/4" spacers for the front awhile ago and finally got to putting them in today. With the winch having been added to the front of the Jeep, and it not really being level to begin with, the Jeep was raked pretty bad. The 3/4 spacers worked out great on top of my 2" Budget boost spacers. Sits just about perfect now.

All I have to do now is re-center the steering wheel which will only take a few minutes and I am gonna take it in for a wheel alignment maybe tomorrow. Seems to track well. But it might be a good idea anyway.

So all in all, the back has 2" of lift and the front equals out to approx 2.5" of lift.

Gonna double check the drive shaft angles tomorrow at full articulation and droop, and make sure all is well there too.

Whole deal only took about 1-1/2 hrs to do by myself and was a pretty easy install.

Yes. You will be first on the call list when I do. I am considering just going to 33. BFG A/T's and just running those. For the type of wheeling I do. I really don't require M/T's. I might be looking at selling both my sets of 32's and going to the 33's. Interested?

I will probably be very interested in the MTs :D

Probably not the ATs though, have a pretty new set of 33s on the truck right now.

Well I have to see if its worth it to me. I wanna be able to get rid of all 9 tires and buy a full set of new 33's (5 tires) If not I will just keep what I have. Don't have much disposable income right now for new rubber I really don't need,if you know what I mean. So all have to go at the same time.

will it fit 35 x 12.5's? i know of a relatively new set on toy wheels but would probably separate. he wants 1000 for the whole shebang i believe.

Sorry! 35's won't be going on it.

Reason:
1) Axles are prone to bending on Jeep JK's that have 35's. They are a Hybrid D44 with ****ty C's and week tubes. I would have to weld in C gussetes and put sleeves in it. No thanks!
2) It is under powered enough already
3) I would have to re gear it to 5:13's ( can't afford that )
4) I would need new rims or put spacers on it

Otherwise I would be all over that :) I think I will stick to 33's

But thanks anyway. :D
