Hey guys!

I found this site because it was mentioned on www.expeditionporal.com

I am sorta new to the Overland Scene, been wanting to get into it more!!

I currently own a 2000 Nissan Xterra (which I love!!) with some basic off-road mod's, hoping to do some more as time goes on.

I really want to try and get down to the Whipsaw Trail this year!

I hope to build a Overland Trailer (based off the M101) within the next year or so,,

Anyways, I was just going to keep it short...

Happy Wheelin!!! :4x4:

Welcome! The Whipsaw is a fun trail, try and do it mid week to stay away from the yahoo's and stay on the trail. Its becoming more and more abused and may not be aces-sable for much longer.

Post up the Xterra in the 4x4 section!

Welcome! Whipsaw is definetly a must do wheeling trip, but like Jeremy said good to do during the week. Hopefully it remains open for a while yet.

What types of trips does this club go out on? are they just trail runs? or are they deep mud bogging, rock scraping, axle brakin' hope your truck makes it home in one piece adventures haha

They are more into trail riding. Sometimes it is a nice drive in the woods and others are much more technical.
It is a non specific brand club so there are guys with stock Chevy half tons, mild Toyota builds, and extreme Jeep builds. :D
There is a little for very one, that is one thing I really like about the club.

Thats good to hear! I would like to get on some decently technical stuff... but I can't afford to start getting into major mods like Air Lockers, or a Solid axel swap for the front diff quite yet.... I do hope to turn this into a full on trail rig one day... but that day is not today haha

I'd like so look at some pic's of some run you guys have done if you got any.. I'll look on the site for some too

Thnx again!

Mike

Liking the Xterra. Xterra was high on my consideration list when I was looking at new vehicles. Is yours supercharged??? By the way like your lights :D I have the same ones. Gee you don't shop at Princess auto do ya ;). I have to find a way to remount mine now, now that I have the winch on the front I lost my mounting spot.

Princess Auto is awesome. You can score some real good deals in there sometimes. I always leave with something too :)

Not sure you have seen them there or not. But PA has those Military ammo boxes for a good deal most of the time. They make great boxes for putting tools and or recovery gear in them. Just a thought.

I bought two:crazy:

I have one in the truck for misc stuff and I plan to mount the other on my rear tire carrier to hold straps and the like in.. but first i need to make it lockable so my stuff will stay in there and not get into the hands of some theives!!

I went there one time and they had these 3'' lights made my nitevision (makers of my big 7'' ones) for like $150 a piece..so I bought some and was going to replace my rectangular fog lights with two a side.. then I dropped one cracked the lens.. when back to buy another... havn't seen them there since :(.. so i am not sure what i will do with them now

Ya that sucks. I did that once when I had my Grand Cherokee. I went to Trimline here in town and bought some Bosch 6" lights and when I was installing them I dropped it on the concrete floor and broke it. Sucked!!! I had to go get another as I was half done the install already :)

Build it slow. I have been at mine now for 3 years and just ordering lockers now. Learning to wheel on 31s and open diffs is the best way to do it. the easy buttons just get you more stuck in the beginning.

When you go to the sight if you cannot see any pic Pm me and I will send you some.

I love seeing lights across the top. I miss mine they looked so cool but alas Alberta wheeling removed then in the mater of 3 runs. When the exo is done new lights and a protective hoop.

I was reading a post about a trip that some one went on... and he made a comment how they went on a wheeling trip with his buddy for :olc:

I think it may have been you, or the person he was talkin about was you because the truck in you Avitar looks mighty familiar:crazy:
