Hey Guys,
I saw the site on ExPo and then Cody reminded me about it on Baja North.
I have lived in Toronto for the last 8 or 9 years. Before that it was Calgary, Langley and Kamloops. I have been involved in the 4x4 industry for years as a user (abuser?) as well as from the business side.
Looking forward to enjoying the site more and hopefully moving back to Kamloops in 2010! I can't wait to go wheeling and camping in the mountains! :camping:

Welcome aboard! I used to live in your neck of the woods. I used to live in Niagara when I was kid for a couple of years. I can't blame you for wanting to come back to wonderful BC. I am am just north of Kamloops in Quesnel. This is one beautiful country over here.
I think you will like it here on the site. We are steadily growing up as a site and have a great group of active users. I hope you enjoy!

Welcome!!
Good luck with the move back! Its amazing how much you miss the mountains when they are not there. Each time I visit family in Manitoba I really notice the lack of them and miss seeing them.
Hope you enjoy your stay and look forward to meeting you some day at a meet or overland camp out.

Welcome!
Glad to see another eastern member on the board. What's going to bring you back this way in 2010?
Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome Guys!
Chris, my mom grew up in Quesnel. My grandpa started the Bouchie Lake store in the 30's. I imagine it is all houses now! Quesnel is a great area!
Jeremy, you are right! You do not know what you have until it is gone...I miss the mountains!
Otherside, things have changed a lot in the last few years, both in my personal and career lives. People always ask me why I left the west and I said I was thinking with the wrong head. Now that we have been divorced for a few years, I am ready to head back to Kamloops to be with my family and friends. I grew up in Barriere and spent a month or so there this spring visiting my family. Time for a change. I love Toronto (don't laugh), but as you grow older, your priorities change.
So, I hopefully I move back before the 2010 camping, fishing and boating season is over!

Small world eh! Unfortunetley the Bouchie lake store is long gone now. They got some competition a few years back and put them out of business. It is a nice area but still a little to far north. I would much prefer the Kooteney area or Okanagan. Its just so darned $ to live there.

WOW, blast from the past.
You never seem to be far from this wheeling community Wes.
Going all the way back to bcoffroad, I think.
Good to see your still around.
