View Full Version : camping close to home last weekend

We went camping for the first time last weekend. We went close to hme so we could work out any gear bugs we may have. Everything went pretty good except is poured rain on the Saturday all day and night. We got a little cold cause we need better sleeping bags and we need to ditch the air matress. That aside things worked out and we had fun. We had some friends with us as well. This was at 10 Mile Lake Prov park.

Looks like you had a little bit of sunshine in the first picture.

Nice!! Good for you guys for camping close to home... it's away from home no matter how far away you are.

Heading out a little further next weekend. Going to a forestry site maybe. Should be a lot more private. Better bring the bear medicine this time :)

We are thinking maybe Barkerville or maybe out to Fish lake, possibly Blue lake.
So many options around here. We were in Barkerville on Wednesday for Canada Day. We go every year. How's things up in Ft St. John?

Wet, things are wet.

feel like i'm back in the fraser valley the last few days.

Found some work though so things are looking up.

Barkerville is a great place, I should get the kids down there.

Just glad to have a job these days myself :) Times aren't getting any better around here.
