You know when you have one of those close calls... and you're pretty thankful afterwards how it could have been... well this one wasn't a really bad one, but it could have been I guess.
Replacing the cat converter on my Jeep... was cutting off the old one with my 5" grinder with a cut-off wheel on it... and of course the wheel guard removed... slid my hand up a little too close to the spinning wheel. Glad I felt the tickle from the glove instead of the burning of my finger!!

Came out of that one in good shape thank goodness!!
Got some other ugly ones to share of my face burned up from coolant... but some may not find that all to pretty!! ;) (it explains why I'm so darn good looking at my age still.... was a chemical peel indeed!)

The worst close-call I've had was spilling concentrated hydroflouric acid on my crotch at work from a cracked pump casing. It had burned through my coveralls, and part way through my jeans in the 15 seconds it took me to sprint into the locker room and disrobe. That was unbelievably scary.

Well I got one for ya too. Same type of thing. I alomst lost my Crown Jewels one day with a grinder. I won't show you pics but it was close. :) I was grinding some steel on a trailer I was building, one thing led to another, and somehow the grinder bounced off the side of the trialer, out of my hands and got cought up in my coveralls. The bad thing was the Trigger lock was on and the grinder tried to grind my jewels continuosly. Now I know why WCb doesn't let the shops and mines around here etc... use grinders with trigger locks anymore. Anyway that is my tid bit to add :)

Yep... sounds close for both of you.
I really don't like my trigger lock... but seeing that I'm left handed... I often don't lock the trigger just the way I hold it... but I'd like to take it out, but haven't bothered.... Yet!
