Im new to the forum, long time Land Rover owner. Im on my second LR, the first was a beat-up army truck, the second is a slightly nicer farm truck, it even has power stearing!
I enjoy the mountains and the foot-hills.

It is nice to hear from some fellow Canadians, the Land Rover forum I surf is usually thin on Canuks.
I imported the truck from England 1 year ago, since then i (and / or my excellent Land Rover Mechanic ) have replaced the radiator, rebuilt the engine , sloshed and sealed a leaky gas tank, replaced a worn out speedo-cable, changed the u-joints, and installed a radio!
It was necessairy to do those essentials prior to doing anything that would be considdered cosmetic or fun....... Now the fun can begin, Im thinking winch, roof rack, custom bumper ? Are there any " must have" items any of you can suggest for a guy that likes to wander off the forrestry Trunk road and see whats down that cut line?

How deep are your pockets.... I'd start at the bottom, diff guards, steering guard & tank guard etc. Then a small lift (2") as it'll not require high angle drive shafts & you'll likely get away without having to fit castor corrected front radius arms. Then a decent front bumper & winch... just keep adding on from there.

And if you need spares call my buddies at TRS Auto (formally 'The Rover Shop') in Calgary, they are now distributors for Brit Part, Hannibal, Rover Racks, QT Services & more. Vern & Jason are true Landy nuts and between them own about 8 different models from an early S2 to a nice new Range Rover Sport.
