Hello people!

My name is Leonardo I´m Brazilian and I'm traveling across America with my girlfriend. We took a day trip beginning Feb. 13, 2011 in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil and drove to the southern tip of the Americas (Ushuaia - Argentina). Now we are going to the extreme north (Prudhoe Bay - Alaska). We now have five months and we are in California. The entire trip is scheduled for 15 months, we will go through 20 countries.

We crossed the border and we are now in Vancouver. We are planning on staying here for three days to know the city. We do not know if we go to Vancouver Island yet but we are always driving to north. Prince George will be a strategic stop for us because I have to do a review of the car and I know picked up after a long stretch alone and the car must be 100% to arrive in Alaska.

there are lots of people in the vancouver area! and i am in Victoria, if you come to the island, or intend to hit some backroads in the vancouver area it would be worth picking up the backroad map books, they are VERY usefull and can be picked up at canadian tire or pretty much anywhere carrying outdoor equipment. send me a PM if you want more info, or if you just want some ideas on places to check out!

Hi guys, excuse the delay in writing.

We find Vancouver a very beautiful city, but extremely expensive, is the most expensive of the all trip.

We camped in an RV park and pay $ 47 without water and electricity.
We parked downtown and pay $ 2 per half hour.
We tried to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and when we saw that cost $ 35 we do not understand anything. I think with this price you can meet Vatican in Rome and the Pyramids in Egypt.

When we talk to Canadians who have known the road, all say that this is a problem only in BC, the rest of Canada is more accessible. Hopefully.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help us.
We're almost in Prince George, I could do a review of the car today in a small town do not remember the name now. I changed the oil filter and the fuel filter. The more I think the car has no problems.

Hello from the White north!! I live in Whitehorse yukon, and If you think vancouver is expensive... you need to rewrite your travel budget. The further north you go, the more expensive it gets. I drive truck up here and down to vancouver once a week, so I'll try and keep an eye out for you. snowed this morning and is supposed to snow the major part of the week. be sure your tires are in excellent condition. Especially if your going up to prudhoe. that road is ALL gravel and is very hard on tires. pack 2(two) spares, and keep in mind it is already full blown winter up there. Best of luck!

We have faced this part of the road and when we are far from Whitehorse, Toronto. Yukon is a beautiful region while the fuel is also expensive. On the east side the weather is good and I believe that we need not deal with snow!

Hello, we're a little late with the forum because it is sometimes difficult to reconcile the travel and time ...

Around here it's okay, we are in Baja California Sur - Mexico and we love this place, although it is winter here the heat is always present.
There are many attractions here in Cabo San Lucas, water activities, land and air.

Today we did a tour to see whales, it was fantastic!

Mexico has been a very safe country, contrary to what they say the news on television and I think we have a great passage here, the Mexicans are very hospitable.
