I know I will catch flack for a few of the ideas, but just remember that it is my own personal opinion. Do you agree or disagree with my points? What truck trends do you dislike?

I was thinking of putting a 9' stinger on my front bumper... now I'm rethinking it! hahaa....

Funny list... agree with a majority of it for sure.

I have to say I agree with you on all except for the Stinger. That thing is sick! Where can I get one? :puke: Oh and I wonder how I could put some 6" chrome stacks on the Jeep. :verynice:

Well Wes ya have some good points, I however, think that we all need to meet out behind the Costco so we can lean out our doorless cherokees and see who has the biggest stinger. Oh wait, that doesn't sound good anymore.

Great list, can i just ad the rig wheels on pickups, usually they go with the stacks.

I'm actually going to stick my neck out and say that some diesel dually's look awesome with 22" rig wheels, but these are the trucks pulling tri-axle flat decks and horse trailers. Stacks are silly, and ruin the usability of the truck bed.

i have to disagree on the snorkels point. i messed up the motor in my taco 6 months ago and it hurt. if you run into water over your hood once, it's money well spent.

you say you sell truck accessories? get me a deal on a snorkel kit?

agree with all your points. LOL

the only thing i could add is that black smoke is cool becuase you can tell a diesel is running. maybe becuase i'm a die hard diesel fan. otherwise its all wanna be big rig crap

as for the big rig wheels, i think they should be added to the list since they are just about as usefull as stacks. for reall hauling, you need a real truck.

another thing persnally dislike, is when tires stick out of the rig. good example would be full size axles under a jeep. i think that is probably the most reatede looking set-up.

especially the diesel thing

Most of it I agree with,I refused to sell the guy across the street from my shop a set of stacks for his 2010 F250. He thought it would look really cool, but he actually works with his truck and the bed usually has stuff in it,when I explained it all to him he agreed.

I like snorkles and they do have purpose, but the overall look and function has to be there, like any mod if its done for the wrong reasons, its dumb.

the last picture is scary,I hope this was done only for show, geez I thought my Landcruiser was jacked, that looks like it would fall over if you leaned on it!

HAHAHA! I just finished reading your list. I agree with you on basically everything. I have a snokel on my JK but only because the air intake is the JKs' Achilles heel.
After seeing numerous videos and hearing about people hydro locking after hitting large puddles I decided to install one as a sort of insurance policy. I in no way purposely drive my JK into deep water cause that's not my thing, but it does get wheeled and I was concerned about hitting water deep in the bush and killing the motor.

i agree with all hated trends except the snorkle. i agree they don't look great but do serve a purpose. plus it means that i'm really serious. robot expo rant. :D:canadian:

To those of you that have snorkels, I ask you this: When was the last time you went in water over your hood?

Myself? All the time. Well, not OVER the hood, but up to headlight level, which is all it takes to kill your motor.

Brilliant list, I even agree about the snorkel, just because most of them are just there for the cool factor. But those who need one even for that one trip a year, it is better to look foolish than kill an engine and be out of pocket a lot of money.

I have a love hate relationship with snorkels.

It would be ideal if a snorkel was something that could be bolted on at the trail head.

Weren't Series LR's set up that way (i.e. removable)? Maybe I'm remembering old military junk from overseas a long time ago an a galaxy far, far away... I dunno.

I love ugly functional vehicles. So the snorkel is actually good looking to me.

I agree with most of it, though I can see needing/wanting a snorkel to keep water out of my engine.

You didn't specifically mention the excessively tall wheel craze, maybe it's just accepted now...

Excessively tall wheels with low profile tires on a 4x4 (or just a 'truck') is not my idea of function and form working in harmony. I generally prefer the smallest wheel that will clear the brakes so I can have a taller sidewall for a given tire height and make the sidewall work for me off-highway :)

Yeah... friend of mine bought a new F-150 FX4 and put on 24" wheels. I don't get it.

I for one disagree on the snorkle thing. I would never have a use for one for deep water, but as a prefilter! Absolutley!
