Hey Guys...
I had this idea when up a bit late last night (ideas always come to you when you're up late)... how about we put together a couple of teams... and do a kind of Junkyard Wars type challenge. Any of you watched that show before?
Anyhow... teams are given the task of creating a machine to perform a specific task... or withstand a specific kind of abuse etc. There is a budget (very small one of course... and team members would have to come up with the budget themselves... like $50 each person)... and you have to stick to your budget and adhere to specific rules etc.
If we had 4 team members at $50 each, the budget would be $200. It can increase by going to $75 or adding more members, but more teams would be more fun.
My idea is that this would take place on a long weekend... and the building would take place between certain hours on day 1 and day 2.... and the challenge would take place on the 3rd day... with minor repairs or adjustments allowed etc.
I haven't thought of specific things to build... but I'm sure we can come up with something if people are interested in something fun and a bit crazy like this.
Anyone think this would be fun? Or do you think I'm nuts?
